PHOTOGRAPHER

I am a photographer and documentary filmmaker drawn to unguarded moments when people, wildlife and places reveal themselves as they are.

I have spent more than 15 years working in the field, meeting people in a wide range of circumstances and travelling to extraordinary places for both work and personal exploration, guided more by curiosity than contrivance.

 

My photography grew out of filmmaking, but it has become its own practice: a slower way of paying attention. I am drawn to building a connection with the subject and its relationship to the surrounding environment, where character begins to show through. I spend time with the details, the contrasts, textures and patterns that surface, and are often what shape the mood of the frame.

 

What ties my work together is taking the time to inhabit a moment long enough to absorb it, and letting the image arrive from that experience rather than forcing it.

 

I am based in the United Kingdom and work on both personal and commissioned projects, and I welcome conversations around new work or collaborative ideas.
