My Work

My work spans a range of genres, from observational documentaries to specialist factual and factual entertainment. Below are some examples, snippets from the programmes I’ve directed, shot, and shaped in the edit.

BBC One - The One Show

I filmed, directed, and edit-produced this VT for the BBC’s The One Show, capturing organist Anna Lapwood at the Royal Albert Hall after it had closed for the night. Using the empty venue to create a striking visual atmosphere, I focused on crafting cinematic shots that highlighted both Anna’s artistry and the grandeur of the space. The film weaves her story of rising to fame through Instagram reels with intimate performance moments, bringing her passion for the organ to life.

Discovery - The Devil Speaks

I filmed and produced this episode of The Devil Speaks, a true crime series for Discovery Channel. Using a combination of dramatic lighting, carefully composed interviews, and cinematic footage of real-life locations, I worked to build tension and bring the case to life visually. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on multiple true crime series for Discovery and other broadcasters, honing my ability to create gripping, atmospheric storytelling that keeps audiences engaged.

U - Emma Willis Delivering Babies

I filmed, directed, and edit-produced this episode of Emma Willis: Delivering Babies, an observational documentary series for U&W. With extensive experience in observational storytelling, particularly in medical and emergency blue light settings, I’m skilled at navigating high-pressure environments while capturing raw, intimate moments. Working sensitively within the maternity ward, I focused on immersive, unobtrusive filming to bring authentic human stories to the screen.

BBC 2 - Great Food Festival: Coast to Coast

I filmed, directed, and produced this VT for BBC2’s Great Food Festival: Coast to Coast, following Leyla Kazim as she explored tomatoes across a farm, a garden, and a kitchen. Making the most of each natural setting, I used gentle camera movement and selective focus to draw viewers into the details and guide their attention through the story. Rich reds, fresh greens, and warm earthy tones became a visual thread, helping the piece feel inviting and above all delicious.
